Review of Far North (2008) by Alan O — 19 Jan 2010
A stunningly photographed film directed by Asif Kapadia.
Two woman living in the north circle, completely in solitude, partly to escape their troubled past and the dangers the landscape offers, find an injured soldier and quickly come to his aid. Unbeknown to them, this sets of a chain of events thats ends with deadly consequences.
A slow burning, intimate but deeply moving tale with superb cinematography and honest, heartbreaking performances.
Recommended.
