Now one of my favorites. As a member of the academic community I see a lot of Ivory Tower indoctrination, even in my field of history. The debate over Intelligent Design is just one of the many battles where a specific world view has dominated.

The preaching from the podium has all but replaced the preaching from the pulpit and the encouragement for students to ask difficult questions has been replaced by encouraging students to join the legions of activists promoting the causes of the day.

Stein has hit upon a very intricate and important aspect of today's culture wars.
