I have always loved Arthurian legend and this film is a favorite. I was madly in love with Nigel Terry. I love the armor and imagery used. The gold Camelot is a little of a stretch, but it fits with everything else.
And no one is a better Merlin than Nicol Williamson. Helen Mirren as Morgana is the perfect mixture of beauty and evil. This film is also filled with great early performances by Liam Neeson, Gabriel Byrne, and Patrick Stewart.
