Review of Evel Knievel (1971) by Simon W — 29 Dec 2009
It is only the performance of the charismatic George Hamilton that makes this watchable. Even the actual footage of Knievel is too poor to be of any substantial merit. The portrayal of Knievel's criminal activities and antisocial behaviour as boyish whimsy is a bit hard to swallow, and the score/music is nothing short of excruciating.
But it does have its moments.
