Review of Emperor (2012) by Sam S — 30 Jul 2013

This is a very powerful, intelligent film about war, family, power and love.

The acting is great and I think the 'love story' made it better as this points us to what's really lost in war is those closest to us. This film is not a documentary, but it's made me want to check out the actual history - any film that does that deserves 5 stars! Films like this are rare - they make me think. I think that it shows that war is a million shades of grey. . .
