Review of Elvis & Anabelle (2007) by Jennifer M — 03 Sep 2009
I finally, finally got to see this movie a few weeks ago. Unfortunately for most everyone, for a film that did well at film festivals and has garnered a lot of anxious viewers plus quite a following, we're yet to find it on DVD. You're only chance is to miraculously catch it on Lifetime.
Having heard such amazing this about this movie going in, my hopes were rather high. I wouldn't say I was disappointed; I'd just been overhyped for it. The story was sweet. Max Minghella is now on my map for potentially great actors and it was nice to see our very own Serena van der Woodsen with some depth as a trapped beauty queen resurrected by a morticianers kiss.
The entire thing was fantasy-like, almost like watching a dream.
All women should be lucky enough to see this. Don't listen to hype before it, but, yes, see it. If not for the storyline, but for Blake Lively's clothes when she goes on the run.
