Review of Ellie Parker (2005) by Scott G — 03 Sep 2007
Shot as a short in early 2001, director coffey and star niomi watts, returned a few years later, and completed a film, watts plays ellie a aspiring actress in hollywoodas she spends her days going from audition to audition, she tries to make sence of her life with personal problems getting in the way of her daily routine, she is someone who knows what she wants, but will she get it, as usuall watts is on fire here, she really is up the top of the list at the moment, a great career, love the look of this film as well, shot on d.
V digital video, gives it a raw edge, anmd helps show her state of mind, great l.a locations, and as shot on d.v they did things you cant usually do, watts driving a car while changing for a audition, is one of many amusimng situations, along with some awkward auditions, another great look at hollywood and its weird ways.
