Review of Ellie Parker (2005) by Rebecca S — 15 Sep 2007
An odd little film that seems like a home movie made by a bunch of pals. I'm a big Naomi Watts fan, and to be honest, I think you have to be to enjoy this. She's pretty much playing herself as a struggling actress, driving around to auditions, doing her make up in the car, being asked to do odd things in auditions.
There's some fun stuff with her pal Rebecca Riggs and director Scott Coffey pops up as well. The hand held DV look suits Ellie's frantic life, and I found it to be very entertaining. Not for everyone though.
