Review of Elephant (2010) by Stephen T — 10 Feb 2009
One of those rare films. A film that takes you by the hand and introduces you to a school. And lets you see what the students see. Feel what the students feel. And then lets you watch as a two students walk in with guns.
Sant is masterful in his approach here. Calm. Chilling. Disturbing. And totally 100% real. Terrific performances and a haunting classic score, combined with eerie sound editing. Don't let this elephant go unnoticed.
