Review of Elephant (1993) by Peter K — 19 Mar 2010
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I love Elephant. One of my favourite Gus Van Sant films. An interesting take on Columbine with some twists; the two shooters carry a brief love affair before the attacks, the death of one shooter.
The way this is made is truly amazing; the way scenes are shot from multiple perspectives, the long one-shot scenes, the shocking ending. Much better than Zero Day, in my opinion, in the sense that the make is a thousand time better and Eric and Dylan were represented in a much better way.
