Review of Electroma (2006) by Tyler R — 05 Feb 2008
Daft punk's electroma is a stunning film full of genuine human emotion strangely portrayed by silent emotionless robots.
It's an ultimately beautiful film that sadly succumbs to it's own tedious walking sequences. images of melting latex faces will almost bring you to tears. it's so fascinating when a film with so little words makes you feel so much. it's such.
An unexpected and wonderful thing when a music group can be responsible.
For such lovely film making. it's to bad that fantastic moments of melting faces and dissenting fellow robots are over shadowed by 8 minute sequences of walking and 6 minutes of driving, which make the film undesirably slow. thankfully when a film ends as good as this one does you leave it with total satisfaction knowing that in retrospect you watched a brilliant piece of film making.
