A fascinating story about faith, love, and self-discovery, Electrick Children is powered by terrific performances, especially from its lead actress Julia Garner. Writer/Director Rebecca Thomas clearly understands how to use beautiful and interesting images to reveal things about the characters, she is a filmmaker that is worth keeping your eye on in the future.

The plot of the film doesn't matter as much as learning more about Rachel and Mr. Will, and if you're interested solely in the plot, you'll probably be disappointed. But if you find joy in exploring this unique world that Thomas has created, than you'll probably find this film as fascinating as I did.
