Review of Eegah (1962) by Cameron V — 30 Mar 2008
MST3K DVD. A completely nonsensical film that appears to be done by taking a camera and four people to the desert and then just shooting "stuff". In addition to the numerous filler scenes (people riding around in cars, walking etc for 5-10 minutes), the actual "plot" scenes don't really drive anything resembling a story.
400-year-old caveman Eegah captures a girl and the son of the director has to rescue her. Scenes of shaving, dunebuggying and lame-ass rock 'n roll follow. In the end, the invincible caveman is defeated by throwing one rock at him. Most scenes are unbearably embarassing to watch and to even think about.
Still, they don't make them like this anymore, which is a shame.
