Review of Eaux d'Artifice (1953) by David S — 11 Jan 2010
A Marie Antoinette-type character walks around an incredible outdoor array of fountains located in Tivoli, Italy. The film image: tinted blue. The soundtrack: Vivaldi. Spurting water everywhere, and lots of grimacing gargoyles.
At a mere 12 minutes, the film doesn't wear out its welcome. Lovely.
