Review of Drugstore Cowboy (1989) by There Is No Jenna, Only Zuul . — 28 Aug 2007
The most realistic portrayal of drug addiction I've ever seen on film. Matt Dillon gives a thoroughly believable performance as Bob, leader of a crew of dope fiends who rob pharmacies to support their habit.
You even get a nice cameo by Mr. Unrepentant Drug User himself, William S. Burroughs. Dilaudid and cocaine and methadone, oh my!
