Wow people are kind of being harsh on this. In terms of special effects and setting, they did a very good job. What they screwed up on was character development. Too much action and not enough time for the little stuff.
Character development makes a big difference, it let's the audience know you. They went too fast. Also it didn't make sense for super-strong Drona to be fighting on par with the wizard dude, who is opposite of super-strong.
