A troubled woman gets a new lease on life by visiting her relatives in Mississippi and working for her uncle in his chicken restaurant. It's hard adjusting and all, but in time, she gets caught up in their world and becomes a new woman.
Also she has a deadline to get the family heirloom out of hock that was used to buy bus tickets for her and her two children. Great soundtrack and great family movie with underlying theme.
