Yes, this is the master blueprint for film noir. Fred MacMurray is as cool as a cucumber, blowing smoke rings and lighting matches off his zipper while Barbara Stanwick swoons. She`s the ultimate crazy hot chick.
What are you gonna do? She`s just so super hot, you gotta start killing people. `Body Heat` was a fine remake, stylish enough, but it couldn`t quite match the razor sharp, rat-a-tat dialogue. (It did make up for it with some fine razor sharp, rat-a-tat nudity though.
) `Double Indemnity` is one of the greats and you can`t really consider yourself a properly trained cinema monkey without seeing it. 5 stars.
