Review of Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love (2016) by Chris D — 03 Dec 2016
All of the original cast returns for this sequel. The child actors are great in their scenes interacting with each other. Bill Owens, the uncle who gives her her first real guitar and later cowrote some of her early songs like "Put it Off Until Tomorrow" makes an appearance.
This one also features a scene that showcases another major part of the character of the real Dolly, as the negotiation with the shopkeeper over the wedding rings shows that she had a keen, shrewd sense of business that served her well in the music industry.
All of the little actors are great, but I think a big standout is the girl that plays Dolly's friend Judy Ogle.
