If you choose any movie about a transsexual in order to understand a bit better, then this is the one. I came across this one as recommended by a friend in the UK, and had a hard time when it came out on video to find it in Canada.
If you can find it, watch it. I recommend this one above Transamerica, and of course over anything that is solely based on drag queens, because DQ's are not the same as TS, and too many movies leave the impression they are the same.
