Review of Dhobi Ghat (2010) by Ron L — 22 Jan 2011

This film was well worth the wait! I love how it's a vignette look into the lives of the four main characters - we are almost like voyeurs looking into their lives, and at the end of the movie, we leave them, their stories unresolved (except for one character, of course) but we know they will move on seeking out their love and dreams, just like so many others in Mumbai, everyday.

And then, there are the different kinds of love stories they represent: first love, lost love, undying love, tragic love...

Very lovely direction by Kiran, Mumbai was transformed into a city of dreams and love, nothing lesser than New York, London, Paris and the likes.
