Review of Detroit Metal City (2008) by Daniel H — 04 Nov 2008
Based on the comic series, a pop-star hopeful is forced to become the lead singer of a death-metal band, complete with makeup, called DMC, which complicates things with a girl he falls in love with. Gene Simmons goes through the paces in the climactic scene, but the one who steals the show is DMC's coarse, sadistic female manager, with the line, "This kinda of music doesn't make me wet!!" Not a bad comedy.
