Review of Delhi Belly (2011) by Sadiq C — 29 Jun 2011
Just back from the World premiere of the movie in London with director Abhinay Deo who is just a wonderful guy in person..
Indian Cinema has been criticised for decades for being unrealistic with heroes jumping of the 10th floor and romantic dramas.. Delhi Belly breaks those barriers of Hindi Cinema by a mile! The movie is crude, edgy, filthy, gross but superbly funny with brilliant performances by villian Vijay Raz, Arup & Nitin. A true representation of the youth of India today in the silliest of the situation makes this a terrific script that is very well executed.
But all of these laughs come with a CAUTION: DO NOT watch with FAMILY or RELATIVES to save yourself from a lot of embarrassment!
