This thing was incredible,.
Me not being a fan of the anime, I don't know anything about the original story. but this could totally work as a standalone film. it had me thinking after I watched it. some of the jump cuts weren't favorable, but it made it lighter in a way, which is good when dealing with this dark a subject without making it horror. all that being said, I am interested in what happens next.
