Review of Dean Spanley (2008) by Geoff B — 31 Mar 2010
What started out like an amusing comedy full of wits, turned out to be a heart wrenching film. If I have to describe the plot, it's rather quirky, a dean that believes himself as a reincarnation of dog, meets with what was once used to be his master.
But it doesn't stop there, until we meet the climax, in a dining room, where not just the revelation of the story of dean himself that is ultimately great, but the moment when our main character, "Senior" Fisk aka Horatio starts to reminiscing his early childhood, and thanks to Peter O'Toole brilliant performance the whole movie watching experience became worth it, because really at first, it dragged a bit.
