Review of Dead Men Tell (1941) by Kevin R — 11 Jun 2011
Here's a Chan film I haven't seen too often. It features the high production values of the Fox series and an early appearance of George Reeves (Superman) as a suspected murderer. Enjoy how they light Milton Parsons, the "crazy" guy who is a prime suspect.
A bit over the top? Yeah, but still fun. Victor Sen Yung gives one of his better performances as number two son. The thing about Chan films is that you know what you're going to get coming into it.
This one delivers as expected. Directed by Harry Lachman who also did "Charlie Chan and the Circus" with Warner Oland and Keye Luke and "Murder Over New York".
