Review of Dead & Buried (1981) by Brett B — 16 Apr 2012
A pretty terrific premise that doesn't entirely come together, but there are many elements that do work. The supporting cast is a lot of fun (Albertson is particularly great), there's some spooky seaside atmosphere, and Stan Winston's makeup effects are pretty cool.
If the film stuck the landing, it would be something of a minor classic; as it stands, it's merely passable.
