Review of Darkon (2006) by Andrew Z — 05 Oct 2008

I wanted to laugh through this whole film, point my finger at the screen and giggle nerds...look, look, they don't know they are NERDS...hahaha. Unfortunately I could not. These "nerds" have no illusions or reservations about who they are or what they are doing, they are just as one character said, still playing and pretending like children and they defend it the best way anyone should, rationally explaining that they know it and still love it.

I found the movie compelling and even the sub-plot engrossing...of course I am a nerd too...so that helped. I thought this was a great looking into an unexplored, hugely generalized sub-culture with great care and respect.
