Review of Darfur Now (2007) by Lisa B — 02 Oct 2008
I wish it included Obama's speech at an event. Clinton and McCain barely said anything. This is less graphic and a little more hopeful than Devil Came on Horseback. It portrays the conflict from several different perspectives.
You hear from the displaced people, rebels, UN relief workers, activist and attorney working on war crimes charge. Negotiations with Egypt and China could influence the Sudanese government to change their position.
This situation is not beyond hope, but international pressure needs to implemented before it is too late.
