Review of Cut and Run (1985) by Ville P — 05 Feb 2009
Ruggero "Cannibal Holocaust" Deodato made this as a part of his jungle series and it's a quite mixed bag. There are reporters (Lisa Blount and Leonard Mann) looking for the son (Willie Aames) of some executives (Righard Bright & Karen Black).
Also there is a drug war going on between dealers and Jonestown surviving colonel (creepy Richard Lynch and his henchman Michael Berryman from Hills Have Eyes) and the son is on the middle of it. The war escalates to US also, where drug dealer (Eriq La Salle) is trying to get information to Bright.
Nicely photographed in the jungle and some good action moments. There is a little gore here, but jungle trap, where the victim is cut in half in quite a sight.
