Review of Crisis (1950) by Allan C — 07 Dec 2011
This film stars Cary Grant as a doctor on vacation with his wife in a South American country. But he is sort of kidnapped by a dictator in the country and asked to perform brain surgery to remove a tumor that will kill him.
But he does not like this dictator's policy with his country and how he treats his citizens. He is asked by rebels to kill him on the operating table. But his moral code as a doctor forces his hand to save this man.
The story was interesting and had many entertaining parts. Cary Grant is excellent as usual in his role. Actor Jose Ferrer is also quite good as the dying dictator. Overall this was a solid watch. If your a Cary Grant fan then check it out.
Well worth the watch.
