Review of Confessions of a Pop Performer (1975) by Wayne Z — 26 Aug 2008
Robin Askwith (aka Timmy Lea) joins the pub rock combo Kipper ('mean as Jack the Ripper!') as their drummer and gets in plenty of scrapes in his usual quest from crumpet. He also gets to do a passable Mick Jagger impersonation.
This was the third installment in the 'Confessions of...' series. The final one, 'Confessions From A Holiday Camp' is actually my favourite but thats not on here for some reason. Best line goes to Rita Webb who asks 'Have you seen my fanny?', she is of course refering to her daughter.
