Review of Conan O'Brien Can't Stop (2011) by Greg S — 30 Jun 2011
Conan really did get a raw deal at NBC, but what most people forget is that it wasn't only Conan that lost his job, it was the whole staff. 100's of people. Conan felt responsible, and so in between the time he left NBC and went to TBS, he put together a traveling show that played 44 dates until he got back on the air.
This documentary shows the behind the scenes pain and angst that came with the loss of NBC. I have a whole new respect not only for Conan's talent, but for his ethics. He really does care about his people.
This is a funny movie that combines humor with compassion. It's leaving the Belcourt on Monday, but if you get the opportunity check it out!
