Review of Comandante (2003) by Eoin H — 13 Sep 2008
Its not often that a documentary is able to so closely portray the character of man such a Castro.
A very natural talker, Fidel gives Oliver Stone several days of his time in what is unfortunately portrayed as a meeting of two statesmen.
The editing here and the sound mix are very well measured and progress what in lesser hands might have been grim talking heads. As it is we see the person behind the public figure.
