Review of Cleopatra Jones (1973) by Brad G — 24 Feb 2010
Cleopatra Jones is more Roger Moore era James Bond than Foxy Brown, but thatâ??s why I dig it. Tamara Dobsonâ??s super stylish Government agent knows her cars, guns, and Kung Fu and uses all of those assets to take down Shelly Wintersâ?? disgustingly vile drug pusher.
I like how Bernie Casey is second fiddle to Cleo; she loves her man, but doesnâ??t need him. Itâ??s all very positive and family friendlyâ??or about as family friendly as this genre usually gets. Fun but disposable.
