Review of Churchill: The Hollywood Years (2004) by James H — 11 Feb 2009
The funniest thing about this film is the premise. The rest of it is so painfully unfunny to watch it's a wonder it ever got made. Almost all the scenes involving Nazi's made me want to rake my eyes out and I found the central joke, namely that Churchill was an American GI who came to save the British amusing (not funny, just amusing) for about the first ten minutes of the film.
After which it becomes increasingly painful as they try to wring more laughs out of it. All in all I'd say avoid at all costs.
