Review of Child of God (2014) by Sharon S — 18 Oct 2015
Oh, do give this one credit where it's due. I haven't read the book yet, but loved the movie enough to go looking for it. Also, I like ensemble acting, usually not fond of single characters carrying the load.
However, this one I loved. For some reason watching 2 hours of mostly an unappealing crazy guy, filthy, living wild, kept me fascinated the whole time. Kudos to Scott Haze. He's clearly an attractive guy that pulled it off as a seriously flawed, and unattractive guy.
And - and - he got our sympathy throughout. He repelled, but had you pulling for him the whole way. If the novel is good, so is this movie.
