Spike Lee did a fantastic job. Many of the reviews are MISSING the point of the film. It is not about Chicago. It is about WOMEN - FINALLY realizing they have great power and using it for good. Kudos to Lee for a sophisticated lesson using Greek theatrical style, poetry, humor and a super cast.
Women need to applaud and appreciate the men who are standing up for us! Go see the film.
