Review of Cherry Pop (2017) by Ken H — 10 Jul 2018
Cherry Pop just misses out on being funny enough to justify a higher score. It has potential but needed some work on the script and feels a bit like an end of year film school project. The characters, 7 drag queens in a dive bar, are brilliantly acted and there is genuine sparkle when they clash but it all needed tying together and tidying up.
It is a shame as what so easily could have been can clearly be seen by the blooper reel played over the closing credits as this is the funniest part of the movie by a mile.
