Review of Chelsea Girls (1966) by Gabriel K — 08 Sep 2007
The best Warhol film I've seen so far, and probably his most famous. Has plenty of his two defining characteristics - deliberate boredom, making the film a kind of endurance test at times, and deadpan, camp and sometimes hilarious dialogue.
A must-see for fans of the Factory scene (and you have to see it at a cinema for the full split-screen effect). The scenes with Mary Woronov laying into her co-stars for forgetting their lines are amazing - she might just be my new favourite person ever.
