Review of Chaplin (1992) by Lisa H — 07 Jul 2010
An unforgetable Downey Jr moment, this movie is truely remarkable and the finest performance of a world wide actor. This movie creates a legend whilst making a legend, Downey Jr is fabulous as creating the characteristics of the legendery actor and making it a remarkable movie of its time.
Downey Jr is charming, witty and Dazzling, and makes a fine portrait of Chaplin himself, to me an Oscar winning performance. The casting is Brilliant, Dan Aykroyd adding a taste of wit in his performance as Chaplins first director, Keving Kline is dazzling as his true friend and Sir Anthony Hopkins as his writer as a later date.
The casting even has the late John Thaw as Charlies first ever management. A truely wonderful movie that will have your smiling in seconds, a stunnning feature.
