Poor indeed, but not the worst - Ken Connor deserves a BAFTA for the effort he put in in trying to salvage something from this and it is the partnership with Ken and Windsor Davies - doing a sergeant major role - (what else) that makes this watchable.
Joan Sims pays a high price for loyalty asher role just does not fit in at all - poor Joan. Very weak yes but just about watchable.
