Review of Cantinflas (2014) by Beecee — 15 Sep 2014
Cantinflas is an enjoyable film, and Oscar Jaenada is a standout in the leading role. He really does look and act like Cantinflas. The photography adds to the film, including the sepia tones used for his recollections.
However, the film is unfortunately focused around Mike Todd's lunch with Cantinflas and his producer (for Around the World in 80 Days), and it returns several times to this scene. This isn't the most interesting part of the story, and the film suffers because it is used as a focal point.
