Bobcat Goldthwait's documentary about comedian and human rights activist, Barry Crimmins, is like a blunt wake-up call. I was completely unaware of Crimmins and the vital role he has played in fighting to save children and to encourage survivors of childhood sexual abuse to speak out and seek help.

This is one comic who has a full-on duty to be angry. To state that he is "brave" is an understatement. He has and continues to take on politicians, The Vatican, hypocrisy and the audience if required. Crimmins is anything but "crazy" - he is a very sane hero.

Bobcat Goldthwait has long had my admiration, but this is an assured and fantastic use of his credit and talent in bringing this amazing man and his mission to a wider audience.

A must see, but it is disturbing. It needs to be. As for the Washington Post review. Ignore it.
