Review of Cabaret (1972) by Robert G — 19 Aug 2013
I like musicals but they are nowhere near my favorite genre of film. But Cabaret is so smart in how it shows Natzi life in Germany in the 1930s before the breakout of World War II, while still pointing out the absurdness of the Natzis.
All while telling the story of a Cabaret starlet and her best friend. This is storytelling at its finest.
