Review of Bunny and the Bull (2009) by Phil N — 21 Sep 2009
The director of tellyâ??s Mighty Boosh makes his feature debut with Bunny & The Bull a surreal road trip through the mind of Stephen (Edward Hogg), a shut-in who remembers his fateful Spanish holiday with pal Bunny (Simon Farnaby).
Using a mixture of cardboard sets and animated backdrops, this echoes the work of Gondry but mixes in the absurdity of the Booshâ??s humour, with Noel Fielding turning up as a matador and Julian Barrett milking a dog.
Fans of UK comedy will lap it up.
