Review of Bullet Boy (2004) by Andrew C — 10 Jan 2007
Not a bad representation of the dirtier parts of London, although having seen Kidulthood a few months ago the similarities started to irk me, even if this one was filmed before (I think?) Anyway, Kidulthood is the better of the two which deal with the same subject of the cyclical nature of violence. Portrayed in a social-realist way but it is a bit too cliched and predictable in parts. Yes we know that bad things will happen when you participate in the never ending cycle of violence but there are better ways of showing it.
Still, It was an alright watch.
