You may not grasp the depth of this movie outside of Latin America --and it does hit some sports-drama clichà (C)s-- but the poignancy of the tale should be enough to draw you in. This is the reality of the slums of Caracas --and it only scratches the surface.
Beautiful movie. Plus: Eliu Armas really was a poor kid from these slums before acting in this movie.
