Review of Broken Trail: The Making of a Legendary Western (2006) by Sam E — 11 Jan 2008
Nice coyboys finish first...i guess. In a now fully revived genre this western sets a bit of new precident. Where contemporary yarns of the old west like 3;10 to Yuma and Deadwood pit the ruthless against the downright savage Broken Trail makes us believe that gun slingin coyboys can be compassionate good natured humanists.
The scenery is beautifully photographed, the performances are solid and the story, though a bit rough at times is all in all heartwarming ramble through the rolling plains of bygone days.
