Review of Bright Star (2009) by Iara Z — 23 Feb 2010
This film is highly sensual, an exquisite engagement of the senses, just as the poetry of Keats does to his appreciators. It's definitely one of the most beautiful films ever done by anyone, with every single shot framed so lovingly.
The two main casts also did admirable jobs. Whishaw is perfectly cast as Keats, slightly fragile, dreamy langour and oh-so-romantic. One for the hopeless romantics.
